Thomas loves his after dinner treat. So, of course, we make it math problems.
"If you have two cookies and eat one, how many will you have left?"
"If you have three and then five more, how many will you have?"
"How many is two and one more?"
Tonight....true to form....he changed it up. We are doing our normal routine and he says,
"How many is seven and water bottle?"
Then, he cracked up. And so it began.
And continued.
And continued.
And continued.
Eventually we got him in bed.
It's all about the math.

So Grown Up
Tom was showing me how to do something on the computer yesterday and we came across this video from almost exactly two years ago - so he was 2 years, 4 months. It's hard to believe he was ever this little!

Inchy
Inchy, the class "pet" came home with Thomas over the weekend. We had to take pictures of him having fun with us and put them in the class scrapbook to go back to school today. At the suggestion of Thomas' teacher, Inchy first took a bath because he had just been with a little boy who had strep throat during Inchy's visit. Then, the adventures began - pancakes, a haircut and Kroger. Quite exciting :)

It never stops
Tom: Thomas I need to take the sheets off the bed in our room so we can wash them. Do you want to help?
Thomas: Why yes, I would be honored to.
Where does he come up with this stuff?

HAHAHAHAHA
Thomas uses Gammie and Pop's house as a measurement tool.
For example "How much did you miss me? As much as 12 Gammie and Pop's houses?"
So - we are eating dinner tonight and talking about the birthday party we went to today.
Tom: Thomas what was your favorite part of the party today?
Thomas (no hesitation at all): The cake.
Tom and Tara: HAHAHAHAHA
Thomas: It was as good as 58 Gammie and Pop's houses......... counting by little numbers.
Oh my we have an awesome kid.

Inside Voice
Apparently they spend time at school discussing inside voice and outside voice. He has generalized that to all noises.
At dinner last night Thomas explains:
"An outside sneeze sounds like this. SNEEZE!!!!!"
"An inside sneeze sounds like this. sneeze"
"You see?"
And then he repeated just in case we didn't understand. And again. And again.

Exercise
So we are all dealing with this yucky cold, but hopefully will be healthy before spring gets here :)
I was doing a cardio video the other day and Thomas wanted to join in. He was hysterical. First, he goes backwards when he does jumping jacks. It's an amazing phenomenon....
Then, he talks the whole time (surprise, right?). I have to ask him to pause so I can hear what we are supposed to be doing next.
His comments are great.
Thomas: "I'm going to be so strong from exercise and you won't be able to pick me up, except, wait, you are exercising too so you will be strong and will be able to pick me up."
Me: no answer - I mean really, what do I say to that?
Thomas: "Mommy, I'm getting all sweated."
Me: "Do you mean sweaty?"
Thomas: "Yeah, that too."
Then, my favorite. You know how the people doing the video talk to you while you are exercising?
Thomas (in a whisper): "How does he know what we are doing? Can he see us?"
Fun times and a workout - Bonus!
