A Correction

After nearly 5 minutes of this wonderful song, I finally got my phone to capture this (reaching around the corner so as not to disrupt with my presence) ...

and then I had to stop because I just couldn't hold the phone anymore ... cracking up!

As Thomas is going to bed tonight.

Thomas: .....and my dentist appointment in the morning.

Me: I rescheduled your appointment so that you won't miss any of water day at school tomorrow.

Thomas: Yes! Thank you Mommy.

We close the door and do our regular routine of yelling, "good night"

Thomas: Mommy, I'm going to give you 9 kisses.

So, I've learned a dentist appointment rescheduling to make sure he gets every minute of Pre-K Water Day = 9 kisses.

I have much to learn about this scale before he gets too old to want to kiss me.

Bouncing Back

These little ones sure do recover from a fever quickly! A couple of days at home and he was totally goofy once again!

Thomas had a fun field trip to Panola Mountain on Tuesday. The teachers sent tons of interesting pictures of the kids playing and hiking. And then there were several of the kids passed out on the bus on the way back to school. And there was this one:



When I asked Thomas about it, he said he was faking it. In fact, he said, "I heard Theresa coming and Damien was sleeping and I knew you would see the picture, so I pretended like I was asleep too."

Theresa confirmed this the next day.

The boy is still toying with me about sleep!

Just Relax

Thomas: I have a big brain.

Tara and Tom: Yes, you are a good thinker. Do you know what makes you smarter? You have to try and try again. You have to work hard when things are hard.

Thomas: Daddy, you have a small brain. Small like a T-Rex brain. (holds up his hand in a tiny o).

Tara and Tom: What?!?

Thomas: Oh, just relax. (complete with hand wave)
