Chillin' in the Pool

Thomas loved the water so much. He was happy to swim around, put his face in the water and splash all over the place. He didn't want anything to do with the floats we had for him.....he wants to be IN the water. We think swimmies for his arms are the next purchase.

Big Developments for a Little Boy

We just returned from a visit to Columbia to see Gammy and Pop. Thomas had a big time charming everyone he laid eyes on! He certainly loves to be the center of attention....and if you pull out a camera, he will pose for you in a second. Yesterday was quite a day for our little boy-his second bottom tooth came in, he crawled for the first time, and he went from his belly to a sitting position for the first time! He was worn out by the time the day was over, and frankly so were we :-) Pictures and videos coming soon.

What a Mess!

We are trying all kinds of new foods including finger foods these days. Thomas is great about trying new things and seems to love everything we give him. That may be a slight exaggeration...I have to hide the green beans in his zucchini, and he's no fan of the green pea, but other than that we're good. Here's some evidence that I'm doing a lot of laundry these days.

Breakthrough!

We finally have a tooth! One of the bottom teeth has broken through the gum and needless to say, much cheering has been happening in the Terry/Pittard homestead today. You can feel it better than you can see it, but we are glad they are finally coming in. Thomas isn't quite sure what all the fuss is about, but we assure him that it's a big deal :-) Now....if we can get him to crawl forward instead of backward-Watch Out!

Overcoming his Fears

Tom bought this great ball for Thomas. Unfortunately, it made Thomas cry in terror every time he got near it! We have no idea why it was so scary, but he was not happy to have this new toy. He has, however, overcome his fear of the ball and yesterday played with it as if it was no big deal. Good job Thomas!

Visitors

We had a great time with our visitors this past weekend! Thomas was so happy to see his Grandaddy and Grandmommy and had a great time playing with Aunt Carol. In fact, he was so worn out that he slept over 12 hours the night they left!!!! We are continuing to have a great summer vacation and look forward to a few more weeks of this.

Moving up in the world

Well, we had to change out car seats. He's outgrown the infant seat and is now in the regular car seat that stays in the car. He was too heavy for me to carry in the infant seat anyway, so it just means he's no longer squished up in a car seat that's too small. Also, he's able to sit in the cart at the grocery store and at Target. He likes to chew on the straps of the cart cover and smile at all the people who walk by!

For sure he's a babe magnet now! Thomas has a new pool and he loves it! He put his face right in the water and then went back for more. His two girlfriends came over yesterday and much fun was had splashing around.

It's Hot Out There!

We grabbed a snack this afternoon and it's hot!  We wanted to make sure Thomas wasn't overheated, but he couldn't figure out how to suck water through a straw.  We decided that the best way to get it into him was to pour it in his mouth.  He loved it!

Party Time!

Tom's last day of school is tomorrow. If you are really quiet you can hear him cheering!!!! Because it's the end of the year, there are several parties happening. We went to one today and are going to another one tomorrow. Thomas is doing great while we're there. He was a total ham.....he flirted with everyone there, grinned, talked and had a ball.
