Daspletosaurus

Thomas: For my birthday I think I want a Daspletosaurus.

Me: Do you mean a Daspletosaurus toy?

Thomas: Yeah, because I love Daspletosaurus.

My child is a geek :)

Funny Face Pizzas - for Lunch!

Last week Thomas and Christina made some of these and he loved them.  So yesterday morning he was thrilled that it was not a work day :) and that meant that we 3 could make them together.  We let him know that we didn't have the ingredients to make them yet, but maybe we could make them tomorrow.  Finally, the day came and we were quite a good Pizza making team! Easy, fun, and not a bad lunch - sort of.  He's still a bigger fan of the idea of pizza than he actually is of eating it. ??

Running Errands

From the backseat:

"I don't know where that grape farm is. It's the one where the grapes are on the beanstalk. The horses grow the grapes. They sell them. I don't know where it is. It is in the woods. I've never been in the woods. I wonder if they have mooses?"

I fear he is going to be sorely disappointed when I take him on the class playdate to the very ordinary pick-your-own strawberry farm.

Writing his name.

Crayon on paper, with thought and care taken, a reminder that the m starts at the bottom, and nothing else.  Wish we could show how cute he was doing it.

That Little Boy...

Me (after he finally calmed down from his spectacular tantrum about watching TV): Thomas, you have some time before dinner to play.

Thomas (picking up his full laundry basket and handing it to me): Speaking of time, it's time to do laundry.

Maybe for Mother's Day he'll give me some laundry detergent.

All in how you look at it!

Tara and I were in the kitchen working on dinner and talking, enjoying being back together, after I was in Florida last week.  Thomas was enjoying some Curious George before dinner.  We looked over and saw this, rather unique TV watching position.  It reminded me a little of Mork from Ork.  Not sure exactly what to make of it.
